Building Description and Layout
The brick exterior of the Avalon at Assembly Square has the appearance of a small fortressed city. The luxurious textures, lighting and color scheme complement its formidable appearance. One look at the community layout and the fortress concept becomes clear. The apartments are set in a square shaped structure with the garage anchoring a corner of approximately 1/3 of the entire space.
Located in the middle of it all is the community center with a garden, heated pool, and other building amenities. While the building itself is not a green structure, the apartments have utilized components that promote this concept. Some of these eco-friendly design features including low VOC paint, sealants, adhesives and carpets. In addition, the garden and landscaping uses native plant species.
Building Features and Amenities
This is a smoke free building with other healthy amenities for the fitness enthusiast. The fitness center has the latest exercise equipment, large windows, mirrors, and two types of flooring. Additionally, the picturesque views of the Mystic River serve as a muse focal point. It is available 24/7 for the convenience of the residents.
A lounge for residents is situated off the heated pool area. Barbecue areas adorn the courtyard as well as a decadent seating area and fireplace. Wi-Fi is accessible in all common areas. There is a controlled entry garage for a monthly fee. Additional storage for personal items and bicycles can also be used.
Packages are accepted for residents at no charge. There is a dry cleaning drop-off service. Regular and emergency building maintenance are also available 24 hours per day. For the convenience of residents, a CORT Furniture partnership has been established as a way to provide a fully furnished unit. Management staff can be reached six days per week from 9:30am to 6:30pm except Fridays and Saturdays. The office is closed on Sundays.
Floor Plans and Features
The Avalon at Assembly Row offers studios, one, two, and three bedroom apartments. The units may be found on any floor of the building. The length of the lease and associated amounts vary. All apartments come with standard amenities including nine foot ceilings, expansive windows, granite kitchen countertops, and stainless steel energy star appliances. In addition, there are outdoor balconies with views of either the Mystic River or community courtyard. There are walk-in closets as well as plenty of additional closet space.
The studio unit has an intimate space of under 700 sq. ft. However, the open floor plan with the expansive windows and ceilings add more spatial context to the interior.
The one bedroom unit has two floor plans that come with a range of 750 to 900 square feet. The regular one bedroom has the smaller square footage, while the second has a den with more space.
The two bedrooms have two open floor plans with nearly 1,100 to 1,400 square feet. The larger unit has a den area. Each unit has two bathrooms.
Three bedrooms offer two bathrooms and nearly 2,000 square feet of living space. There are two floor plans and one includes space with a den.
Pet Program
WAG The Pet Program contains the policies for pet owners. Both dogs and cats are included. There is an exhaustive list on the website of restrictive breeds as well as a list of other pets that are not allowed. The website list of other pet restrictions is not an exhaustive one, and potential tenants are encouraged to contact management for details. There is a $500 security deposit for each tenant. In addition, there is a monthly rent charge of $75 per pet with a two pet limit. There is no weight limit.
